‘My wife’s not happy about the decision I made’

A resourceful Chicago homeowner used a frying pan to fight off a burglar who broke into his home, dramatic security camera footage shows.

Jason Williams got an alarm system alerting him to a break-in at his home in Logan Square, northwest of New York City, around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. ABC 7 Chicago reported..

“I went into the house and looked around for a weapon I could use… there was a frying pan lying around so I grabbed that and at the same time the burglar came downstairs,” Williams told the outlet.

“At this point it was fight or flight and I chose to fight,” he added.

The video shows the robber running around Williams’ yard in front of her and trying to protect his head with his hands.

As officers gave chase, Williams appeared to punch the man in the arm before the robber opened the front door and fled.
