On Monday, the country declared a national week of mourning before announcing the rise in deaths on Tuesday.
The 63-year-old woman was found alive in Naypyidaw's Myanmar capital early on Tuesday, more than 90 hours after the earthquake. It is believed that dozens of monks are trapped under the tiled rub as many monasteries collapsed during the earthquake.
One of Myanmar's strongest century, Quake was first hit on Friday near Mandalay. Shallow trembling struck central Myanmar in the afternoon, followed by aftershocks of 6.4 magnitude aftershocks just minutes later.
In neighboring Thailand, the death toll has reached 17. The earthquake shook the Greater Bangkok area. Bangkok authorities reported that 10 people have died as a skyscraper near the famous Chatuchak market fell and 83 people are still missing, resulting in deaths resulting in deaths.
Hundreds of people evacuated in Mandalay are sleeping on the streets.
Kara Bragg, the Yangon-based manager of Myanmar's Catholic Rescue Corps, said so far many rescue operations have been carried out by people working with their hands to clean the tiled rub.
“It was mainly local volunteers and locals trying to find their loved one,” Bragg said.
“We've seen reports that some countries are currently sending search and rescue teams to Mandalay to support their efforts, but hospitals are really struggling to deal with the influx of injured people.
According to the country's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, two Indian C-17 military aircraft would land on Naypyitaw with local hospital units and about 120 staff before driving north to establish a 60-bed emergency care centre. Other Indian supplies flew to Yangon, Myanmar's largest city. This was the focus of other international aid efforts.
The first report on earthquake relief efforts issued on Saturday to coordinate the UN Humanitarian Affairs stated serious damage to many medical facilities, saying “severe shortages of medical supplies are hampering response efforts such as trauma kits, blood bags, anesthesia, auxiliary equipment, essential medicines, tents for health workers and more.”
China said it had dispatched approximately 135 rescue units and experts as well as supplies such as medical kits and generators, providing more than $13.8 million in emergency assistance. The Russian Emergency Ministry said it flew 120 rescuers and supplies to Yangon, but the Ministry of Health has dispatched a medical team.
The Singapore team is already working for Naypyitaw. Malaysia dispatched a team of 50 people on Sunday, including trucks, search and rescue devices and medical supplies. Thailand reported that 55 soldiers had landed in Yangon on Sunday to support search and rescue operations, and the UK has launched a $13 million relief package to support Myanmar's domestic sponsorship partners who are already responding to the disaster.
