Myles Garrett Faces Speeding Ticket
On Monday, reports emerged detailing an incident involving Miles Garrett, who was pulled over for speeding. The defensive end for the Browns was stopped by Strongsville police around 2 a.m. on Saturday, after returning from a preseason game against Carolina. He was clocked driving at 100 mph in a 60 mph zone, according to public records.
Footage obtained revealed a straightforward exchange between the officer and Garrett, who was driving a grey 2014 Ferrari at the time.
Garrett received a $250 ticket, which can be settled without attending court, although he also has the option to appear in court on Thursday.
The Browns organization is aware of the situation and plans to discuss it during their upcoming joint practices with the Eagles in Philadelphia on Wednesday and Thursday.
This isn’t the first time Garrett has faced speeding issues; he was cited for speeding multiple times in 2017 and was involved in a serious car crash in 2022.
Similarly, rookie quarterback Shedale Sanders has also recently faced his own speeding tickets, being cited twice within twelve days. Browns general manager Andrew Berry addressed the situation on the second day of camp, labeling it as “not smart” and emphasizing the need for the players to be mindful of their actions.
Berry added, “He understands what it means and understands the outcome. It’s crucial to remember that driving fast not only puts oneself at risk but also others, especially in unpredictable situations.”
