This is not the first time the city’s transportation authority has come under fire for unauthorized Israel-bashing ads in the city. Earlier this year, the MTA came under fire for not doing enough to replace anti-Semitic artwork and posters on subways with legal advertising.

Anti-Israel vandals have been defacing and defacing subway ads this year to denounce the Israeli-Hamas war in Gaza.

The controversy comes as anti-Semitic protests in the Big Apple and incidents surrounding the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip continue to rise.

Thousands of students have occupied university campuses in and around New York City to protest Israel’s handling of the war, while acts of bigoted vandalism continue to plague the five boroughs.
