Nancy Guthrie is missing: Tucson detectives are looking for information about a truck in the investigation

Investigation into Nancy Guthrie’s Disappearance Continues

TUCSON, Ariz. — As authorities dig deeper into Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance, they’re honing in on certain vehicles linked to her home, along with a truck that detectives want to trace.

Officials have asked neighbors for Ring doorbell footage from two key timeframes: from 9 p.m. to midnight on January 11 and from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. on January 31. Interestingly, the January 11 window came over three weeks before the 84-year-old was officially reported missing.

Recently, investigators have been scouring nearby residences in the Arizona foothills, seeking surveillance footage and asking residents about their vehicles. One neighbor, David Romano, mentioned, “Detectives came twice and asked us our names, who we were, what kind of car we drove, if we had a truck.” He relayed this to NBC News correspondent Liz Kreutz on February 12.

Vehicles of Interest

Several vehicles have been linked to the investigation:

  • Nancy Guthrie: She was believed to be driving a Subaru, possibly a Forester, which was subsequently towed from her garage.
  • Tommaso and Annie Cioni: They have been reported to drive a blue Honda CRV.
  • Camron Guthrie: Last week, he was seen in a white Toyota Camry, although it’s unclear if it’s registered to him.

Neighbors also mentioned the possibility of a gray truck in the vicinity, but no specifics on make, model, or license plate have been disclosed.

There have been repeated inquiries regarding the truck’s ownership, raising the question of whether investigators are trying to identify a specific vehicle that appeared in the footage. Currently, no trucks have been publicly confirmed as associated with the individuals involved in the case, and it remains uncertain if the gray truck mentioned was actually involved in the disappearance.

Authorities have yet to clarify whether trucks are considered significant vehicles in this investigation. The Pima County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI have been contacted for further details.

Since Nancy Guthrie went missing, the Pima County Sheriff’s Department and the FBI have received nearly 18,000 tips related to the case, with more than 4,000 calls made on Wednesday alone. The FBI continues to urge anyone with information about her disappearance to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI.
