Naomi Osaka has announced that she and rapper Cordae have broken up after dating for five years.
In a note posted to his Instagram Story, the tennis star explained that there is “no bad blood” between the pair, who share 1-year-old daughter Shai.
“Hello everyone. I just wanted to say that Korde and I are no longer in a relationship,” Osaka, 27, a four-time Grand Slam champion, wrote. “There's no bad blood at all, he's a great person and a great father. My daughter is the biggest blessing to me and I've been able to grow a lot from our experiences together, so I can honestly say that I… I'm really happy that our paths crossed.”
Cordae, 27, has yet to speak publicly about the breakup.
Osaka revealed the news after withdrawing from the WTA Auckland Open final. He sustained an abdominal injury on Sunday.
The former world number one was leading Denmark's Clara Thorson 6-4 when she was unable to continue.
As a result, Thorson won the title.
Osaka and Korde started dating in 2019, and their first date was at Staples Center for a Clippers game.
The couple gave birth to a daughter in July 2023.

The former couple appeared together in GQ's “Modern Lovers” issue in February 2021, explaining that they wanted to keep their relationship private.
“We dated for almost a year before people knew about us.” Korde told the magazine. “That's why we're so reclusive. We don't post a lot because intimate moments feel like they're sacred. Relationships are really sacred. External When the influence enters, holiness fades.”
Osaka described the Grammy-nominated rapper as very “romantic” at the time.
