NASCAR driver Stewart Friesen is hurt following a frightening crash at the dirt track.

NASCAR Truck Series driver Stewart Friesen was involved in a serious accident during the Super Dirt Car Series race on Monday night in Canada.

The incident occurred at Autodrome Drummond in Quebec as he struggled with the turns and veered into an outside wall, resulting in his truck going airborne.

Following the crash, Friesen’s vehicle flipped and caught fire while he was trying to regain control. He was promptly transported to a nearby hospital where he was reportedly conscious and able to communicate with safety personnel.

His wife, Jessica Friesen, later provided an update, mentioning that a CT scan revealed no head, neck, or spine injuries. However, he is experiencing significant pain.

Jessica stated, “Stewart suffered an unstable/open book pelvic fracture, meaning there are breaks in two or more places, along with hematomas. Additionally, he has a broken right leg. Both injuries will require surgery, and he was moved to a larger hospital for treatment this morning.”

She expressed intentions to share further updates regarding his condition in the near future.

Friesen is mainly known for competing in the Truck Series. Recently, he finished 35th in a race in Indianapolis, although he has had one victory and three top-five finishes this season.

He had also won a race at Weed Sports Speedway just days before, marking his 52nd career win in the Super Dirt Car Series.
