Natasha Cloud takes first place in WNBA All-Star Skills Challenge

WNBA All-Star Skills Champion

In Indianapolis, Natasha Cloud clinched the title of WNBA All-Star Skills Champion on Friday, promising to create a space for her freedom teammates and partners.

Cloud emerged victorious in the initial round, completing it in 34.1 seconds, which put her ahead of the other competitors.

She went on to defeat Erica Wheeler in the finals by just 1.1 seconds, earning a prize of $55,000.

Wheeler was the first to congratulate Cloud, while Sabrina Ionescu joined in, cheerfully running down the sideline to celebrate with her.

Prior to the competition, Isabel Harrison had expressed to Cloud the importance of winning, hinting it would help him secure a down payment for a house.

After receiving a trophy shaped like a glass pillar, Cloud shared how secure she felt playing in New York, expressing her excitement to Harrison, “You’re going to get that house.”

She also made a heartfelt mention of her parents, who couldn’t make the trip to Indianapolis, saying, “Mom and Dad, I love you so much. This is for y’all. This award should have come a long time ago, but I’ve celebrated you for ten years.”

Although Cloud has never been named an All-Star, her participation in this year’s Skills Challenge was noteworthy. The event includes obstacle courses designed to test players’ passing and shooting abilities.
