Polling analyst Nate Silver joined the chorus of calls for President Joe Biden to resign after the president's public appearance in the Amazon rainforest.
Silver said the president's refusal to take questions from the media during a time of global instability is another sign that he believes he is not mentally prepared to handle the immense pressure from the Oval Office. He said that there are only two reasons.
“It's a very difficult job. It's a dangerous world. A very high-stakes decision in Ukraine. He should resign and let Mr. Harris serve the final two months.”
Democrats have floated the idea that Biden should hand over control of the executive branch to Vice President Kamala Harris in order to make history and undermine President Trump's merchandising profits.
“Is there any particular reason to think Biden is capable of being president at this point? It's a very difficult job. It's a dangerous world.” I wrote Silver on social media Wednesday. “It's a very high-stakes decision in Ukraine. He should resign and let Harris serve the final two months.”
Silver is Washington Post coverage The president described how journalists tried to get him to ask questions while he was visiting Brazil and Peru for the Group of 20 (G20) summit.
“President Joe Biden was in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, safe from mosquitoes, fire ants, and loud macaws. But there was another pest he managed to avoid: the accompanying press corps. ,” the Post report said.
“During a six-day trip to Peru and Brazil that ended on Monday, the president spoke little publicly and answered few questions despite repeated advances,” the report continued. “A television producer wrote a message on a large piece of paper and held it up as Mr. Biden boarded and exited Air Force One.”
Biden's aides have tried to ignore the criticism and pretend everything is normal, even as Democrats publicly blame him for the huge losses and question his decisions. There is increasing scrutiny on the president.
“History is watching us,” Biden said during his visit. “I urge you to keep the faith and keep moving forward.”
