National Archives to hand over Biden records

exclusive: The National Archives has released more than 62,000 pages of additional records, including President Biden’s communications using email aliases and records related to Hunter Biden, at the request of House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer. Fox News Digital has learned that there are plans to provide it.

Sources told Fox News Digital that the records are expected to be turned over to the commission within the next few days. The new project will be in addition to the more than 20,000 pages of records from Biden’s time as vice president that the National Archives already makes available on its website, the person said.

As vice president, Biden used an email alias to communicate directly with Hunter’s business partners.

Comer, R-Ky., initially requested unredacted emails related to communications between Biden and a business associate of Hunter Biden in September. The committee had sought unrestricted special access to the National Archives’ case records, titled “Records of Hunter Biden, James Biden, and Their Foreign Transactions.” The records were first made public as a result of an ongoing Freedom of Information Act lawsuit. In August, Comer specifically requested any documents or communications that include Joe Biden’s pseudonym as a sender, recipient, copy, or in the content of the communication. Aliases and pen names include, but are not limited to, Robert Peters, Robin Ware, and JRB Ware. Mr. Comer also requested communications that listed Hunter Biden and/or his business associates Eric Schwerin or Devon Archer as recipients, senders, or copies.

President Biden was asked Wednesday about hundreds of email exchanges between Hunter Biden and Schwerin using email aliases, and he denied any such activity occurred.

A person familiar with Mr. Schwerin’s role in managing Vice President Biden’s finances told Fox News Digital that Mr. Schwerin worked on Mr. Biden’s personal budget and helped coordinate with tax officials.

The person also noted the frequency of communication between Mr. Schwerin and Mr. Biden and his aides, saying it was “inevitable” that the Rosemont Seneca business would come up in conversations.


Mr. Comer subpoenaed Mr. Schwerin to give a deposition on November 9th. The committee is consulting with attorneys to set a deposition date.

Comer is co-leading the House impeachment inquiry into President Biden with House Judiciary Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) and House Ways and Means Chairman Jason Smith (R-Missouri).
