Nationals’ Lane Thomas erupts after bizarre ejection in loss to Tigers: ‘Are you s—-ing me?’

Washington Nationals Outfielder Lane Thomas wasn’t the only one unhappy with second-year MLB umpire Emil Jimenez on Thursday.

Former MLB player and current Nationals announcer Kevin Fransen slammed the play-by-play commentary during Thursday’s broadcast.

“We literally have video and audio audio. He never said that. It’s just so awful. It makes me even more angry.”

“Emil Jimenez played poorly,” Fransen noted. “He called it a strike and said: [Thomas] “I said something in a bad way about him. Lane didn’t say that word. So he’s a liar.”

The Nationals’ five-game winning streak came to an end with Thursday’s loss. The ejection marked the first of Thomas’ career in the MLB and his 76th in the regular season.
