Thousands of demonstrators assembled on Saturday to protest the policies of the Trump administration, focusing on federal downsizing (DOGE), mutual tariffs, and immigration changes.
Over 1,200 “Hands Off!” rallies occurred across all 50 states, particularly at the National Mall near the State Capitol in Washington, DC.
Though most of the demonstrations seemed to be peaceful, as of 4:30 PM on Saturday, there was a significant police presence on standby.

D-Md. Representative Jamie Ruskin from D.C. referred to recent legal actions taken against the administration, stating “we win every day.”
“We are achieving victories in court, as 39 judges appointed by five Republicans and one Democratic president granted 56 temporary injunctions and restraining orders against this unlawful behavior,” Ruskin said. Pass the court. ”

He labeled the president as an “economic dictator” who understands all pricing and its implications.
In response to the protests, the White House issued a statement to the Associated Press, asserting that “President Trump’s position remains clear. He will continuously safeguard Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid for eligible beneficiaries. On the other hand, the Democrats are advocating for Social Security, Medicaid, and Medicare benefits to be provided to undocumented immigrants, which could financially strain these programs and harm American seniors.”

There has been a significant voter turnout noted in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, as well as in Cleveland, Ohio; Philadelphia; and Lansing, Michigan.
Demonstrators displayed signs against the Israel-Hamas conflict, layoffs of federal employees, deportation practices, and reductions in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
Posters critical of Elon Musk were also prevalent, particularly regarding his recent actions impacting Doge.

Incidents targeting Tesla vehicles, arson, shootings, and vandalism reported in at least nine states
Fox News Digital previously reported numerous incidents across the country targeting Tesla electric cars, dealerships, storage areas, and charging stations.
FBI has urged individuals to remain “alert” in proximity to company facilities, referencing at least nine incidents across states, including arson, shootings, and vandalism, which featured graffiti expressing dissatisfaction towards those deemed racist, fascist, or politically opposed.
