On Wednesday night, NBA fans got a glimpse of Chloe Kitts, a star player from the South Carolina Gamecocks women’s basketball team.
The Toronto Raptors selected Colin Murray Boyles with the ninth pick in the NBA Draft. In a touching moment, Kitts and Boyles shared a hug, celebrating a significant milestone as his dream of becoming a professional basketball player took a big step forward.
Kitts later shared a photo on her Instagram story, donning a Raptors hat, showing off an autograph from Murray Boyles for enthusiastic fans.
During the energetic draft night, she felt the excitement go viral.

Kitts has been making waves. Originally from Washington, she was a five-star recruit in high school and chose to join Dawn Staley’s Gamecocks over schools like North Carolina, Louisville, Duke, and Arizona.
She played a key role in helping the Gamecocks secure the national championship in 2024 and also earned gold medals with the U.S. national team in competitions like the FIBA U-18 Americas Championship and the FIBA Under-19 World Cup.
This past season, Kitts had her best performance in college so far, averaging 10.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
Heading into next season, she’s considered a top prospect in the 2026 WNBA draft, along with other notable players like Lauren Betts, Olivia Miles, and Azzi Fudd.
