Toronto Raptors forward Jontay Porter is reportedly under investigation by the NBA after the league discovered “multiple gambling irregularities.”

The investigation reportedly stems from prop bets Porter made on two games: against the Los Angeles Clippers on January 26th and against the Phoenix Suns on March 20th. According to ESPN.

The Raptors declined to comment to FOX News Digital. The NBA did not respond to requests for comment.

ESPN took a closer look at the situation surrounding Porter, starting with a Jan. 26 game against the Clippers that revealed “increased betting interest” on Porter’s under prop bet.

Before the game, over/under prop bets were made for Porter’s points (5.5), rebounds (4.5), assists (1.5) and three-pointers made (0.5).

The Raptors said Porter is averaging 13.8 minutes per game this season, but played just four minutes before re-aggravating his eye injury. All of Prop’s bets were on the under, resulting in no points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 0 3-point shots.

NBA All-Star says rise of sports betting has made fans even more intimidated: ‘Halfway around the world…I’m a prop’

ESPN added that DraftKings Sportsbook reported that Porter’s 3-pointer from under was the “biggest prize-winner for those betting on NBA player props in that night’s game.”

Then, in a game against the Suns, Porter had an over/under prop bet of 7.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. Porter played just three minutes and had to leave due to illness. He missed just one shot attempt and didn’t score, but he did grab two rebounds.

DraftKings Sportsbook once again reported on March 20 that Porter’s under is the NBA’s biggest earner.

Porter was left out of the Raptors’ lineup for Monday’s game against the Brooklyn Nets due to personal reasons, after the team sat out Saturday’s game against the Washington Wizards for similar reasons.

Since sports betting has been legalized in many states across the country, the NBA, like other professional sports leagues, does not allow league officials to bet on league events that include prop wagers. And the league has assigned personnel to each team dedicated to detecting betting fraud and “potential integrity issues.”

Penalties for sports betting-related violations include fines, suspensions, and contract termination.

Porter is the younger brother of Denver Nuggets standout forward Michael Porter Jr., who is currently on a two-way contract with the Raptors.
