NBA Star Says Caitlin Clark Could Score in the NBA, But Trans Athletes Debate ‘Irritates’ Him

Denver Nuggets star Michael Porter Jr. recently spoke highly of WNBA star Kaitlyn Clark, saying she could compete with her male NBA counterparts in some cases, but added that he is frustrated by the broader debate over transgender athletes.

Last week Full Send PodcastPorter said when he finally sat down to watch Clark play, he was amazed at how good she was. Fox News report.

“But she’s cold, brother,” he said.

Porter added that he hadn’t seen her play until the NCAA Tournament and was “absolutely blown away by how good she was.”

“The way she moves and her range is like a female Stephen Curry,” the power forward praised.

But then the conversation turned to transgender athletes, a topic he says is “frustrating.”

“Most women can’t compete with men and I don’t think men should be allowed to transition and hang out with women. That whole conversation irritates me,” he argued.

While Porter had high praise for Clark’s playing ability, he didn’t think as highly of Clark’s rival, Angel Reese, and when asked if Reese would fare well against Porter in a one-on-one shooting contest, Porter simply laughed.

Porter may consider Clark a standout player in the WNBA, but the committee that selects the USA women’s basketball Olympic team apparently isn’t as impressed.

The Indiana Fever star, who has been setting record after record just three months into her WNBA career, has been left off Team UA’s roster, much to the disappointment of many fans.
