The NBA suspended former Spurs guard Josh Primo for four games after determining he was exposed by the team’s psychiatrist, the league announced Friday.
The league’s investigation charged Primo with “inappropriate and offensive conduct” and “conduct detrimental to the league.”
Former Spurs psychologist Hilary Causen has filed a criminal complaint against the Spurs and Josh Primo, alleging indecent acts by Primo, who allegedly exposed himself to her nine times starting in December 2021, and the team. He claims he failed to act.

The league reiterated Primo’s position, stressing that “his actions were not intentional.”
Primo’s accuser was also his former therapist, Dr. Hilary Causen. She claims Primo exposed himself nine times. Causen eventually filed a lawsuit against the Spurs, claiming that he informed the team of the Spurs’ former first-round pick’s disclosures to him, but that he did nothing about it.

She and the Spurs settled the lawsuit in November 2022.
Primo had been cut from the team the month before, in October 2022. Primo was the Spurs’ 12th pick in the first round of the 2021 NBA Draft.
He remains unsigned.
