NBC brings Carmelo Anthony on board for its NBA coverage.

Carmelo Anthony’s New Opportunity

Carmelo Anthony has found a new role. The former Knicks player and 10-time All-Star is set to join NBC Sports as a studio analyst for the upcoming season.

His debut is scheduled for October, coinciding with the return of the NBA to the network. This comes shortly after his recognition in the Nice Miss Basketball Hall of Fame the previous month.

“Growing up watching the NBA on NBC shaped my love for the game,” Anthony shared. “I’m thrilled to be part of the NBC Sports family. I’ve always aimed to use my platform to promote the game. I look forward to offering fans a fresh perspective as I step into this new chapter of NBA coverage.”

Anthony will be present in the studio at least once a week during the regular season and will continue through the playoffs.

Since finishing up with the Lakers in 2022, Anthony has remained visible in media, even hosting a weekly podcast. He’ll be joining a lineup at NBC that includes notable names like Mike Tirico, Noigle, Jamal Crawford, and Reggie Miller.

This announcement came on Saturday during NBC’s coverage of the Kentucky Derby.
