NBC's Kristen Welker “falsely suggested” that Vice President Kamala Harris was present at a dignified transfer ceremony for U.S. soldiers killed during the withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Arkansas) appeared on NBC's “Meet the Press” on Sunday and criticized President Biden and Sen. Harris for ignoring the families of fallen soldiers.

She could have gone to the cemetery and honored the sacrifice of those young men and women, but she didn't. She never spoke to them or met with them,” Cotton told Welker. “Because of her and Joe Biden's incompetence, those 13 Americans were killed in Afghanistan.”
“They met them during their dignified transfer. They were with them during their dignified transfer,” Welcker interjected.
