NC woman wins second six-figure lottery prize in less than a year

A lucky North Carolina woman won nearly $350,000 in the lottery this week, her second six-figure win in less than a year.

Kathy Noe won the $346,088 jackpot on a $1 Cash 5 ticket purchased at the C Co Mini Mart on U.S. 70 in her hometown of Newport, about 90 miles north of Wilmington.

Her ticket matched all five numbers in the Aug. 29 drawing, winning the 1-in-962,598 jackpot. According to lottery officials.

She claimed her prize on Friday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh, North Carolina.

After federal and state taxes, she took home $247,456 in cash.

Noe previously won a $100,000 jackpot.

A person who bought a Mega Millions ticket at a gas station outside Houston, Texas, on Tuesday night won a staggering $800 million jackpot. The winner has not publicly come forward.
