NCAA tournament bracket update: Friday scores as favorites hold outside of 1 big upset

The 2025 Men's NCAA Tournament got off to a great start on Thursday. McNees and Drake went instant darling to separate the upset as double-digit seeds. March Madness followed Friday, another double-digit seed joined in the 32nd round.

After Tigers Guard Tyrese Hunter was ruled out, the No. 12 seed Colorado Staterams were actually a slight favourite against No. 5 seed Memphis in most sportsbooks. The Rams rolled into the Mountain West Conference tournament before entering the March Madness Hot and maintained positive momentum with full performances to knock off Memphis.

Colorado scored a solid all-around game from Star Forward Nique Clifford with a 78-70 victory after Kyan Evans' 23 points. Memphis led in the half but failed to stop after leaving the locker room after Colorado scored 47 points in the final 20 minutes. Colorado will now play No. 4 seed Maryland. “Club Five” decimates No. 13 seed Grand Canyon from the opening tip.

Elsewhere on Friday, No. 2 seed Alabama survived the horrors from No. 15 seed Robert Morris, with Duke returning to the lineup with an ankle injury and Baylor unstoppable Mississippi State.
