A Nebraska teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a 17-year-old student is married to a Pentagon employee.
Erin Ward, 45, is charged with one count of felony sexual abuse by a school employee. daily mail report Monday.

Ward was a substitute teacher at Omaha’s Burke High School when a student was allegedly found “undressed” in a car parked on a dead-end street around 3 a.m., Breitbart reported. -The news reported on Sunday.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Deputies were responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle when they saw two people hurriedly putting their clothes back on, then getting into the driver’s seat and fleeing the scene, driving just two blocks away. They collided at a distance.
The boy got out of the car, later identified as belonging to Ward and her husband, and fled on foot. After more than an hour of searching, police found the man wearing only boxers, a T-shirt and socks.
The car in use at the time reportedly belonged to Ward’s husband, William Douglas “Doug” Ward.of Post The report said he was “appointed in February as Deputy Director of the Commander Action Group and Senior Nuclear Deterrence Advisor for U.S. Strategic Command.”
Strategic Command’s headquarters are in Omaha, and the paper noted that Doug Ward is a graduate of Harvard University Extension School. The couple lives in Gretna, near Omaha, with their three teenage children.

Ward worked at several local schools and met the teen at Burke.of Post When police found her, the woman admitted to having sex with the student, according to the article.
“Ward was not charged with statutory rape because Nebraska’s age of consent is 16 years old, but he faces a Class IIA felony with a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison,” the newspaper reported, adding that Principal Burke later revealed that the teacher on all school campuses in the area after the incident, he added, adding that he announced he would not be returning.
