A Nebraska high school substitute teacher was caught in a compromising position with a teenage student in the back seat of her car, and the boy fled.

The boy got out of the car, later identified as belonging to Ward and her husband, and fled on foot. After more than an hour of searching, police found the man wearing only boxers, a T-shirt and socks.
Ward remained at the scene and allegedly admitted to having a sexual relationship with the teenage boy, who was a student at Burke College.
Police said after the student was found, he was taken to a “secure location for treatment and questioning.”
In November, Ward shared on her X account that Burke was “the best school to be a guest school teacher.”
“My favorite building to teach in…I love being a Bulldog,” she wrote alongside a photo of the school’s lanyard.

Ward has since been charged with felony sexual abuse by a school employee, a Class 2A felony punishable by 20 years in prison.
