Neighborhood terror cuts down Trump, US flags as police hunt for suspect

Police in Utah are searching for a man who slashed and violently attacked President Trump's flag and American flag in the days after the former president's election victory.

Security footage later distributed by local police shows five separate incidents between Nov. 7 and Nov. 11, including the removal of President Trump and American flags from four homes in the Logan area. A man was captured.

“That's not how a human being should be,” said Crystal Urescu, whose home was attacked twice. told KSL TV. “This belongs to someone else.”

Urescu said after President Trump's flag was cut down, they replaced it and installed surveillance cameras, but robbers struck again.

“He cut down another Trump flag that I had put up, and then he cut down the American flag. That really pissed me off,” Urescu told the outlet.

Since the second incident, she has defiantly replaced the American flag and decorated her home with more Trump and MAGA flags.

About a block south, three more homeowners had their flags taken away, KSL-TV reported.

“I have mixed feelings about it, because in some ways it's no big deal,” Cole Warner told KSL-TV. “It's a flag. It didn't cost a lot of money or anything. The other thing is, it's invasive.”

A few doors down from Warner, another resident had his flag taken away and profanity, including a reference to fascism, spray-painted on his garage door.

Logan police said in a Facebook post that the suspect was wearing a ski mask, was believed to be 6 feet tall, and had long blonde hair. Police say he usually strikes after midnight.
