Neocon Bill Christol has urged his Never Trump allies to “stay with trans,” describing President Donald Trump's criticism of transgender ideology as “unjust and dangerous.”
In X's post, Christol – leaving Republican over President Donald Trump's embrace – Share Link to the article It's written Marc Solomon, partner of Civitas Public Affairs Group. Solomon writes about supporting transgender Americans, asking people to “stand with trans Americans.”
“Stay with the trans-american,” Christol wrote in X's post. “We don't need to understand everything about the transgender experience to know that Trump's humiliation and dehumanization is unfair and dangerous.”
In a Solomon article, he argues that the Trump administration dehumanized transgender people, protected women's sports, and denied “their existence” through actions such as removing transgender ideology from the US military. Solomon adds that it is “deeply harmful” to them.
The dehumanization of trans people by Donald Trump and his administration, while civilizedly denying their existence, is deeply harmful to a small group of Americans who are already facing discrimination. As someone who led the fight to win the same-sex couple's marriage, I am familiar with the playbook winging horror, but I have never seen it run as viciously as the Trump administration is doing now. The question for all of us is whether we go along with it or whether we ask questions and see if we can hear about trans people and their families, connect, empathize, welcome and push back.
Solomon also shares a link to the poem It's written by the German theologian Rev. Martin Niemerer. Solomon compares transgender opponents to the Nazis and writes, “Think of these attacks on trans people as a test of how much authoritarians can escape.”
“If we're not speaking now, showing Americans disapproving to Trump and his supporters will only make it easier for this administration to come after other marginalized groups,” adds Solomon.
Solomon accused Trump of “trying to make him think that his administration is trying to protect girls and children,” adding that he “is simply following the blueprint that has made a scapegoat of a few misunderstood people.”
Since taking office in January, Trump has signed an executive order title“Take men away from women's sports,” the executive order states, “to withdraw all funds from education programs that women and girls take away from fair campaign opportunities is a US policy, bringing extinction, humiliation, silence and privacy for women and girls.”
“It is also a US policy to oppose men's competitive participation in women's sports as a matter of safety, fairness, dignity and truth,” the executive order adds.
Trump has also signed an executive order title“Prioritizing military excellence and preparation.” The executive order states that “consistent with military missions and years of DOD policies, expressing false “gender identity” from an individual's gender cannot meet the strict standards necessary for military service.”
“Beyond the hormonal and surgical medical interventions involved, even in the individual's personal lives, the adoption of a gender identity that contradicts the commitment of soldiers to an honorable, true, and disciplined lifestyle and the sexual conflict of individuals,” the executive order adds. “It is a man's claim that he is a woman, and his requirement for others to respect this falsehood is not consistent with the humility and selflessness required of a service member.”
Solomon's article and Christol's support for transgenderism have been replaced by immigrants before white working-class Americans. With label According to daily callers, white working-class Americans are “degenerate, lazy” and “spoiled.”
“To be honest, if things are bad like I said in the white working class, don't you want to put in a new American?” Christol said in 2017.
