It remains to be determined whether Ben Simmons will be able to play against his old team in Philadelphia on Saturday night.
After Friday’s practice, head coach Jacques Vaughn announced that Simmons was a partial participant and remains day-to-day.
He will undergo treatment Friday night and Saturday morning, and from there the Nets will assess his availability against the 76ers.
He was listed as a possibility in Friday’s status report.
“Ben was a partial participant, but we were trying to get a little up and down, so we didn’t have him participate in that part of practice,” Vaughn said. “So he was able to get through some sets and get through some things defensively.
“We’ll see what his reaction was later.” [Friday] evening. He received treatment and will continue to receive treatment [Saturday] It’s morning, so I’m looking forward to watching him play. That’s the trend with this group and the expectation is for him to play. ”
Simmons made his long-awaited return Monday night against the Jazz after being sidelined for nearly three months with a compressed lumbar nerve.
He made a noticeable impact for the Nets in just 18 minutes of the 147-114 win, finishing with 10 points, 11 assists, eight rebounds, one steal, and one block.
However, Simmons left the game with a knee contusion after an awkward fall while trying to block Talen Horton-Tucker’s layup.
Simmons then sat out Wednesday night, missing Kevin Durant’s return to Brooklyn with the Suns. This was Simmons’ 40th game missed this season.
Dorian Finney-Smith announced that he will miss the game against Philadelphia while dealing with a sprained left ankle, but announced that he will accompany the Nets to the game.

He started running during Friday’s practice and continues to run every day, hoping to feel better on Monday when the Nets host the Warriors.
“It’s tough. I don’t like sitting around, but I have to take care of myself,” Finney-Smith said. “I injured my ankle and it was weak, so it’s easy to get back on track. … It’s going to be a process, but I don’t want to be out too long.”
Finney Smith, 30, was injured during the Nets’ close 106-104 win over the Rockets last Saturday. He sprained his ankle after blocking a shot by Cam Whittemore and was ejected with 3:45 left in the third quarter, never to return.
He arrived in Brooklyn about a year ago and this season averaged 9.1 points on 41.2 percent shooting and 4.8 rebounds per game.
The forward is under contract until next season, but interest from other teams is increasing as the Feb. 8 trade deadline approaches.
On Thursday, the Post’s Brian Lewis reported that the Nets rejected an offer of two first-round picks for Finney-Smith that was reportedly coveted by the Lakers, Mavericks, Bucks, Thunder, Suns and Kings. It was reported that.
Finney-Smith said “times are different” when it comes to blocking out trade noise. “I think it was easier back in the day because not everyone had social media. But now my kids, you know, my daughter got social media and stuff like that. It’s hard not to hear about this topic, but it always happens this time of year.”
Dennis Smith Jr. (sore right foot) was listed as questionable for Saturday. Dayron Sharpe (hyperextension of left knee) remains sidelined.
