Nets blow another huge lead in brutal road loss to Bulls

Another double digit lead. Another Endgame Meltdown.

And another net loss, this is on the Bulls 116-110 in Chicago on Thursday.

Brooklyn rose 92-80 in the declined second in the third quarter, then allowed a 27-9 run that rose to fourth.

They reversed their 12-point lead and ended up with a 6-point deficit, where the net did not recover.

He then hit the fourth mark in the last five games. The net blew a loss lead of at least 12 points.

“There's still a month's worth of opportunity to prove yourself and prove a lot,” Cam Johnson said. “And we can't waste them because the opportunities in this league are valuable. It's for ourselves, as individuals, for our coaching staff. There's still a lot left and we'll lose at the same time. So we have to keep taking shots on it without hanging our heads.

“That's a bit easy [get down] Losing multiple double-digit leads in the fourth quarter means poor execution, poor shot-making and poor defense time. It's on you. So we have to fight against it, shake up that kind of performance, learn from them, learn how to get better. ”

Net silver lining (22-44) finished fifth in the lottery race ahead of the previous match between Philadelphia and Toronto.

Cam Thomas received 24 points, a career-high 10 assists and six rebounds. Nic Claxton had 18 points and 14 boards.

However, the net lost in the fourth quarter, and was hastted, losing for the ninth in 10 matches.

Josh Giddy was on the sidelines and the Bulls ran the offensive through Coby White.

However, the net, who led 92-80 with the third remaining seconds, got cold to allow that 29-7 blitz. They shot four out of 19 – only one out of seven out of the deep – shot with three turnovers while the Bulls ran as they collapsed the stretch.

“They got a lot of transition buckets, second chance points, and that was the fourth story,” Thomas said. “We didn't do a good job of containment…and they came out with victory.”

The Chicago zone gave the net fit and invited them to too many midrange shots.

“We weren't good in that zone. That's my fault,” coach Jordi Fernandez said. “So we have to work and get better.”

The net jumped out of the gate and rocked the first eight points.

After a momentary delay, they mounted another 20-7 run, with Thomas 3-pointer leading the way at 50-43.

Brooklyn padded that cushion to 92-80 with Johnson's layup with 20.4 seconds left in the third quarter.

However, the net allowed a 17-3 extension over the period and played 97-95 at 6:17 on Patrick Williams' bucket.

The deficit reached 113-105, with Kevin Harter's free throw remaining for a minute, with Brooklyn not recovering.

“Our third quarter was our best quarter. From there, we just relaxed and our focus wasn't there,” Fernandez said.

Noah Crowney (right ankle) was out for the net. Giddie (right ankle) was sidelined for Chicago.

Killian Hayes has rejoined G League Long Island.
