Nets’ Bojan Bogdanovic returns to on-court activities

OKLAHOMA CITY — Bojan Bogdanovic is finally back on the court for the Nets, sources tell the Post.

Given how long the sharpshooter has been out, it could take some time before he can actually adapt and play.

Bogdanovic hasn't seen live action since injuring his left foot as a member of the Knicks during the postseason.

He was already dealing with wrist issues before getting injured against the 76ers.

The small forward missed the remainder of the playoffs and underwent surgery to repair both problems.

He was acquired by the Nets as part of a deal that gave Mikal Bridges a record five first-round picks and a swap across the East River.

Bogdanovic, 35, will need to see how his body responds to on-court activities before the Nets allow him to practice. Given the length of his layoff, that recovery could take time.

Dayron Sharp was questionable with an injury to his right eye, but played in Sunday night's 127-101 loss to the Thunder.

He came off the bench and had nine points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes despite having eye issues.

“We're from the South. We have a different structure,” Sharp said. “…So, unless something is really broken, [then] you don't play I'm old school. I really do have one eye. Yes, my right eye is still a little blurry. But I'm still just playing. ”

Coach Jordi Fernandes added: He played through it in LA, he's dealt with it, the discomfort. ”

YES Network first reported that Sharpe was hit in the eye with a basketball during warmups before Friday's loss to the Lakers.

“All I know is that I just took a right turn and a basketball came flying into my face and hit me right in the eye. Then I got up and tried to go shoot, but it was a little blurry. ,” Sharp said. “So I went in the back with red eyes and tears streaming down my face. I just put some eye drops in my eyes and said let's go to the team. That's exactly what I did.”

The center is scheduled to see a doctor on Monday.

Cam Johnson returned to action after missing the past two games with a sprained right ankle.

He scored 15 points on 6-of-11 shooting.

Johnson has missed seven of the previous eight games with an injury and said he expects to have to deal with it for the time being.

Ben Simmons did not play in the game against the Thunder due to illness.
