A new Bible-based series is coming to Amazon Prime Video, and it's starring some big names.
Amazon MGM Studios announced this week that it has signed a deal with The Wonder Project, a new faith-and-values-based film studio, to order a new series based on the Bible. house of david, for Prime Video. The Wonder Project was co-founded by director Jon Irwin (The Jesus Revolution that can only be imagined) and former Netflix and YouTube executive Kelly Merriman Hoogstraten.Dallas Jenkins, creator and director Chosen personAdvisor of Wonder Project.
house of davidAccording to the summary given in hollywood reporter“The story depicts the once-mighty King Saul becoming a victim of his own pride.”
“The prophet prepares to anoint the exiled shepherd boy David and overthrow him as the second king,” the synopsis states. “As Saul's anger grows, David navigates love, violence, and politics in the court of the man destined to replace him. Two kings. One kingdom. The result is war. ”
Erwin will serve as executive producer. Produced by Nomadic Pictures, Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate Television.The same company that produced Kingdom Story i can only imagine and jesus revolution.

Irwin previously told Christian Headlines that The Wonder Project “creates stories that restore faith in what's worth believing in.”
“We live in a very cynical world where it's hard to know what to believe,” Irwin said. “And when you watch a lot of movies as well as popular shows, you get into a me-versus-everybody situation, and you don’t know what to believe. [want to create] Content that restores faith in what is valuable. …Christianity changes my life and the lives of 2.5 billion people. ”
