Cam Skattebo responded to pure emotion when he heard his name being called in the NFL Draft.
The latest New York giant was already wearing a team cap by the time it was announced as its 105th pick on Saturday.
However, in that case, Scattebo’s response did not slow down a bit.
He buried his face in his hands, crying like a house full of people from a draft party, and began cheering for him.
Arizona products could be a steal from the Giants. The Giants will add Scattebo to the backfield, which also features a single move from Tyrone Tracy and Devin.
It looked like they would need to add a running back after the Giants ranked 23rd in rushing yards and 18th in each attempt last season.
After losing Saquon Barkley in free agency, Tracy led the Giants with 839 rushing yards.
Skattebo’s statistics were off the charts last season with Sun Devils. He became the first FBS player since Christian McCaffrey with at least 1,500 rushing yards and 500 receiving yards of the season.

Skattebo’s readings were questionable, but his highlight reel run (including 21 touchdowns) has become a fan favorite in Arizona and has already proven a popular pick among Giants fans.
At least at first glance, it looks like a successful draft so far for general manager Joe Shane.
The Giants added a stud defensive end in third overall for Abdul Carter, then returned to the first round to get a quarterback at Jackson Dirt, and added a solid run-inhibiting defensive tackle at Darius Alexander in the third round and scored Scattebo in fourth.
With three picks remaining, it looks like a solid distance for a team that needs to be glued to this weekend.
