A 74-year-old man was arrested at a New Hampshire amusement park last week after he got drunk and naked in a lazy river, shocking visitors, police said.
Summerville resident John Caraballo was found lying naked near a lazy river at Salem’s Canobie Lake Park around 6 p.m. on July 3 when he was seen by at least one child and other witnesses, Salem Police Capt. Jason Smith told Fox News Digital.
Canobie Lake Park is located about 31 miles north of Boston and features rollercoasters, water rides and pools.

Caraballo was taken into custody and released on bail, but was so intoxicated that police placed him in protective custody overnight to clear his head, Smith said.

“He was so intoxicated that they felt it would be unsafe to release him on his own, and no one came to pick him up, so he had to spend some time in the holding cell until he sobered up,” Smith told Fox News Digital.
Smith told WMUR that police received information that Smith had been drinking alcohol before arriving in Canobie.

“I mean, he wasn’t even drinking at Canobie Lake Park. This behavior is not acceptable,” Smith told WMUR.
Caraballo released a statement to WMUR expressing regret over the incident.
“My judgment was extremely poor,” Caraballo said. “I was not in control of my actions and I apologize to all involved. I am deeply remorseful and respectful.”
The indecent exposure charge is classified as a misdemeanor, and Caraballo is scheduled to appear in court again at the end of August.
