New Hampshire’s Senate Race Heats Up
New Hampshire’s upcoming Senate race is shaping up to be crucial in determining control of the Senate. Former Senator Scott Brown, who is aiming to take over the seat currently held by Democratic Senator Jeanne Shaheen, discussed the situation on Saturday.
Brown noted that this race feels reminiscent of 2010, suggesting that people are aware of the urgency of the situation. “When you look at the national landscape, you can see the Senate map changing,” he commented, pointing out concerns in states like Texas where residents are worried about their homes.
He emphasized the significance of New Hampshire in potentially influencing the Senate’s direction, warning that legislative actions aimed at President Trump and his administration could escalate dramatically if the Democrats maintain control. “We need to reverse the policies of the Biden administration,” he mentioned, expressing his opposition to issues like gender inclusivity in sports and open borders, claiming these make the progressive figures seem less extreme.
“People are aware of the crisis we’re in. They’re eager to support me and get involved,” Brown added.
He stressed, however, that success in this race wouldn’t be determined by what’s happening in Washington, D.C. “Kelly Ayotte, our governor, understands the local priorities,” Brown said, reinforcing the idea that the local Republican leadership aligns closely with New Hampshire’s values. “We face daily challenges; we require resources,” he stated.
