Vice President Kamala Harris' campaign has released a new digital ad targeting the love lives of Black men, implying that women will reject them if they don't plan to vote.

The ad depicts a dating game in which a black man approaches a group of women holding balloons. They start asking questions about himself, like how much he earns, how tall he is, and whether he works out.

The man's answer drew a seemingly positive response from the women, but one person asked him if he planned to vote in November.

“No, it's not about me,” the man said, prompting all the women present to pop their balloons.

At the end of the ad, the message reads, “Vote! Election Day is November 5th,” along with the Harris Waltz campaign logo.

However, not all users were satisfied with the content of the ad, with some claiming it was nothing more than “insulting” and “dehumanizing” black men.

“Democrats continue to dehumanize and demean black men, trying to shame them and pressure them to vote only for them,” one user wrote. “The Kamala camp has no intention of respectfully engaging.”

“Does the Harris-Waltz team really believe this will get anyone to vote for them?” another asked.

Another user added: “Disrespectful and insulting.”

One user quipped: “This might be counterproductive.”

The ad comes as some begin to speculate that Ms. Harris may have a hard time winning over young black men, a typically reliable demographic of Democratic voters.

Former President Barack Obama also joined in the recent appeal to black men, saying at a rally in Pennsylvania earlier this month that black men should have the same enthusiasm they had during Harris' campaign in 2008 and 2012. He claimed that.

“My understanding, based on reports from campaigns and communities, is that we are not yet seeing the kind of vibrancy and turnout that we saw when I was campaigning in all aspects of our neighborhoods and communities. No,” President Obama said. At the time, he added that the lack of enthusiasm “seems to be more pronounced among the friars,” who may not want to support a female president.
