New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy is requiring the roughly 20 charter bus companies that transport New York City-bound migrants to “transit” stops in the Garden State to provide advance notice.

In response to Mayor Eric Adams' Dec. 27 executive order restricting drop-offs for charter buses transporting migrants from the southern border to New Jersey, Murphy said Monday that “operators are not transporting passengers to New York. “Because of the reluctance to transport it to the city,” they wrote in response. Murphy is asking companies to disclose the number of single adults traveling alone on each migrant bus. It will be.”

Meanwhile, Abbott said Sunday that New York City's Adams, rather than the bus company that transports migrants from the southern border to the Big Apple, should sue President Biden.

In a move dismissed by Mr. Abbott's office as “legally baseless” and “political commentary,” the city ordered 17 charter bus and transportation companies transporting migrants from Texas to New York City to pay 708 million yen. Filed a million dollar lawsuit.

Adams told the media on Monday that more than 164,000 immigrants, 1.5 times the population of the state capital Albany, were dropped off in New York City.

Vice Mayor Fabian Levy called Murphy a “great partner” in dealing with the influx of immigrants, while Lisa Zornberg, the mayor and chief advisor at City Hall, said he was “intentionally trying to flood New York City's social services system.” He criticized the “hasty planning''. and several other cities were targeted. ”

“And the bus plan that Governor Abbott is leading with the full participation of certain bus companies seeks to punish New York City and certain other cities for political reasons,” Zornberg said.
