New Jersey Governorship Can Be Achieved, but We Require Strong Participation

New Jersey Governor’s Race Heats Up

The race for governor in New Jersey is shaping up favorably for Republican Jack Ciattarelli, with support from figures like Scott Pressler, who emphasizes the need for a strong turnout.

While discussing the competition between Ciattarelli and Democrat Rep. Mikie Sherrill, Pressler expressed confidence in a GOP victory, recalling how the previous election was decided by a mere 84,000 votes in 2021.

“Matt, do you realize how many Republicans stayed home back in 2021?” Pressler asked. “That election was close, and remember, there are around 250,000 gun owners in New Jersey who aren’t registered. Once we rally the gun community and Second Amendment supporters, New Jersey could turn red.”

He also mentioned the state’s high property taxes, noting that many residents have already left New York to escape progressive policies, only to find themselves unable to afford living in New Jersey due to unfavorable Democratic approaches.

Additionally, Pressler critiqued rising electricity costs, suggesting that both Republicans and Democrats fail to adopt a comprehensive energy strategy.

“Republicans are advocating for lower property taxes and energy expenses, linking these issues to New Jersey’s status as a sanctuary state. The people want law and order, and there’s a deep-rooted issue of corruption that Sherrill can’t seem to address; she has made $7 million as a Congress member.”

Pressler called into question Sherrill’s integrity, highlighting contradictions in her statements about her time at the Naval Academy and her honesty concerning ongoing scandals. “Ciattarelli stands a good chance to take the governorship, but he certainly needs a substantial turnout,” he stated.

He urged New Jersey voters to participate, whether in person or by mail. “We can deliver ballots directly to your local election office. And if you prefer in-person voting, mark October 25th on your calendar,” he advised. “From October 25th to November 2nd, there will be nine days of early voting.”

“Voting in person helps avoid last-minute issues like errors, machine malfunctions, or even bad weather on Election Day. You really don’t want to miss this opportunity,” he added.

Pressler emphasized, “Every vote counts, and Republicans have seen higher success rates in mail-in balloting previously.”

“I’m confident that we can win this race,” he concluded.
