New Jersey Woman Charged with Child Sexual Assault

A woman from New Jersey has been charged with sexually assaulting a child under the age of 13. It’s reported that she not only recorded the incident but also shared at least one video on Snapchat.

Victoria Ann Cranmer, 25, was arrested on Tuesday. The charges against her include second-degree sexual assault and manufacturing child sexual abuse material, along with third-degree possession of such material and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Authorities allege that the assault occurred on May 6 in the bathroom of her home in Little Egg Harbor, while she was supposedly looking after the child.

In a related case, there’s an investigation involving a stepfather accused of sexual assault amidst concerns surrounding a girl who allegedly received a lethal dose of Benadryl.

According to reports, investigators were able to identify Cranmer in the video due to several distinctive tattoos, one of which allegedly depicts a breast on her leg.

The investigation commenced on May 20 after the New Jersey Department of Child Protection referred the case to the local police and the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office. Through warrants obtained, investigators looked into the cellphone Cranmer had used and her Snapchat account, uncovering additional videos saved in Snapchat’s Memories.

Interestingly, the cellphone was reportedly a birthday gift from a former roommate, who, after asking Cranmer to leave, found the disturbing video while reviewing its contents. The roommate saved the video and later handed the device over to authorities.

There’s also a claim that Cranmer was laughing during the assault in the video, as documented in court filings. Reports indicate that at least one of the recordings was shared on Snapchat.

Cranmer is currently being held at the Ocean County Jail without bail. Efforts to reach the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office for further details, as well as to check if Cranmer has legal representation, have been initiated.
