Members of the University of New Mexico Marching Band made waves on social media before their second defeat to Michigan in the NCAA Men's Tournament on Sunday.
When TNT Camera filmed the band performing at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, March Madness fans were buzzing about the woman playing the flute.
The woman who styled long gray hair in Pom Pom looked much older than her fellow band members.
Dave Portnoy, founder of Barstool Sports, re-shared a clip from X I wrote it“Fifth grade?”
He posted a similar message and raised questions about the university's spiritual marching band.
“In a New Mexico band, there are women who play the flute with women who can't become over 65,” another I wrote it, “How is this possible?”

The UNM Band Program features a variety of bands offering different levels of musical abilities and interests. For example, campus bands are open to faculty, staff and community members.

The school has not yet responded to requests for comment.
On Sunday, the woman wore a red polo shirt with the band's logo and covered a yellow flag around her like a cape.
Michigan and Ole Miss will meet at Sweet 16 at State Farm Arena on Friday.
