“The Girls” Podcast to Launch on October 1
Fox News is set to debut a new original podcast called “the Girls” on Thursday, October 1. This announcement was made by New Media President Porter Berry and EVP Megan Albano. The show aims to bring together diverse female voices from different realms, including news, politics, sports, comedy, and culture.
The premiere episode will feature familiar faces such as Rachel Campos-Duffy, Harris Faulkner, Kat Timpf, newly appointed contributor Melissa DeRosa, and former ESPN host Samantha Ponder. This series is designed to promote engaging, personality-driven discussions, with new episodes released every Thursday.
Berry expressed enthusiasm about the podcast, stating that it fits perfectly into their expanding portfolio of shows aimed at enriching the audience’s experience and engagement with their content.
Albano chimed in, emphasizing the podcast’s raw format, which aims to reflect the authentic perspectives of dynamic women from Fox News Media and beyond. Each episode will feature a rotating lineup of co-hosts, aiming for more fluid conversations that go beyond the typical news roundtable discussions.
The podcast promises to cover a wide range of topics, from politics to pop culture, money, marriage, parenting, relationships, and careers—essentially anything that impacts everyday life. It will showcase genuine dialogue with no scripts or constraints.
This new initiative adds to FOX News Media’s new media division, alongside other established podcasts like “Hang Out with Sean Hannity,” “Ruthless,” and “The Riley Gaines Show.” Listeners can access “the Girls” on various platforms, including FOX News Digital, YouTube, Spotify, and Apple Podcasts.
