New Orleans Operation Targets Rapists, Human Traffickers, and Child Abusers

Federal immigration authorities in New Orleans recently apprehended numerous individuals labeled as criminal aliens, charged with serious offenses such as rape, theft, smuggling, domestic violence, and child endangerment. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials indicated that this initiative aligns with a broader campaign aimed at dismantling sanctuary protections and targeting “the worst of the worst” in criminal activity, reflecting President Trump’s focus on enhancing public safety through deportations.

DHS Assistant Secretary Tricia McLaughlin stated, “DHS law enforcement continues to arrest rapists, thieves, human smugglers, domestic abusers, and child endangerers who seek protection in New Orleans. Well, those days are over.” She emphasized that illegal immigrants who commit crimes are unwelcome, regardless of liberal perspectives.

Among those arrested was Jorge Vieira Serrano, a Cuban national, convicted of forcible rape and aggravated assault, with a history of previous arrests for associated offenses.

Other individuals apprehended included:

  • Hander Bradimer Monroy Santiago, a Guatemalan illegal immigrant who has been in the U.S. unlawfully since 2022 and had previously been arrested for smuggling.
  • Darrin Perdomo Rodriguez, a Honduran national arrested for multiple incidents involving domestic abuse and assault.
  • Anthony Jose Sarria Gutierrez, a Nicaraguan with ties to a street gang, previously arrested for contributing to juvenile delinquency.
  • Carlos Arturo Padilla Meza, a Honduran immigrant with a final removal order from 2013 and a conviction for domestic assault.
  • Willian Orlando Zuniga-Euseda, a Honduran illegal immigrant who faced prior charges of domestic violence and endangerment.
  • Andres Vladimir Prieto-Renkolet, a Chilean criminal known for previous theft and evading police.
  • Angle Estelle Hernández Murillo, a Honduran undocumented immigrant convicted of domestic violence and trespassing.

McLaughlin concluded her remarks by asserting that the efforts to target criminal illegal aliens will persist until all such individuals are apprehended.
