New Orleans Police Chief Anne Kirkpatrick strikes two pedestrians with vehicle

New Orleans Police Capt. Ann Kirkpatrick struck two pedestrians with her vehicle Saturday night, injuring one of them, police said.

The incident happened at about 7pm on Saturday at the intersection of Decatur Street and Iberville Street. The police according to Fox 8.

Both a man and a woman were injured in the incident.

The woman was taken to hospital in stable condition, while the man was not injured.

Kirkpatrick was given a breathalyzer and urine test.

A breathalyzer test showed no signs of alcohol consumption, returning a result of 0.00.

Police said the results of the urine test would be available within the next few days.

Photos posted on social media show Kirkpatrick was not in uniform at the time of the collision.

The incident remains under investigation.
