New Orleans Police chief strikes 2 pedestrians with her vehicle, injuring 1

New Orleans Police Capt. Ann Kirkpatrick struck two pedestrians with her vehicle Saturday night, injuring one of them, police said.

According to police, the incident happened at around 7pm on Saturday at the intersection of Decatur Street and Iberville Street. Fox 8.

Both a man and a woman were injured in the incident.

The woman was taken to hospital in stable condition, while the man was not injured.

Kirkpatrick was given a breathalyzer and urine test. The breathalyzer test showed no signs of alcohol intake, coming in at 0.00. The results of the urine test would be available within the next few days, police said.

Photos posted on social media show Kirkpatrick was not in uniform at the time of the collision.

The incident remains under investigation.
