New poll finds Democrats are losing big among black, Hispanic Americans: ‘Especially concerning’

Democrats have overwhelming support from black and Hispanic Americans.

Democrats have lost nearly 20% of support among black Americans in just three years, according to the latest Gallup data released Wednesday. In 2020, Democrats held a 66-point lead over Republicans among black adults (77% to 11%). Now, that lead has shrunk to just 47%, with Democrats losing 11% and Republicans gaining 8%.

This difference is the smallest ever recorded by Gallup.

According to a Gallup analysis, support for Democrats among Hispanic adults has fallen by nearly 20% since 2021, when Democrats held a 31-point advantage over Republicans. Currently, the difference is just 12 points with him at 47% vs. 35%.

Surprisingly, the poll shows that Democrats only have an 8-point lead among young Americans (ages 18-29), while Republicans lead Democrats among Americans over 30. It has been found. According to Gallup, Democrats’ only significant leads are among women (9 points ahead of Republicans), Americans with graduate education, and Americans in urban areas.

Gallup said the findings are “particularly concerning” for Democrats, confirming what many other polls have shown: Democrats are losing ground from key demographics that jeopardizes their coalition of voters. He said that he was losing support.

The reason black and Hispanic voters are leaving the Democratic Party is simple. Because they believe life was better when Donald Trump was president.

“I didn’t think anything had really changed,” Gabriela Martinez, a voter who voted for Biden in 2020, told CNN last November. “I didn’t see any change, so I was hoping for something.” Ta. She said: “Now I have to pay more, so I work three jobs.” [for] thing. Well, my house is more expensive. ”

“A lot of my friends have only voted once, and Trump and Biden are like all we know. And they’re like, ‘Well, we’re done with Biden. We’re done with Trump. ‘And the only thing I keep hearing over and over again is, ‘There was money in the Trump administration,”’ voter Kinnard Givens told MSNBC last week. Told.
