Martin Scorsese’s “The Saints” Returns for Season Two

Renowned director Martin Scorsese is preparing to launch the second season of his acclaimed series on Fox Nation, offering fans a glimpse of what’s in store.

The new season of “Martin Scorsese Presents: The Saints” is set to debut this November. A trailer reveals that it will explore notable figures across centuries of religious history, including St. Peter and the recently canonized St. Charles Acutis.

The first episode, featuring St. Patrick, will air on November 16. It will delve into his journey from being a slave to becoming a bishop, highlighting the impact he had on Irish faith and identity.

Scorsese has shared that this series is one he’s always wanted to bring to life.

Following St. Patrick, the second episode will focus on St. Peter’s transformation from fisherman to one of Jesus’s most significant followers, providing insights into his leadership within the Church.

The third episode will showcase the conflict between St. Thomas Becket and Henry II, emphasizing Becket’s struggle to balance power and spirituality during a tumultuous period in England.

Additionally, the series will highlight contemporary saints in the fourth episode. Viewers will learn about St. Charles Acutis, who utilized technology to share his faith before his untimely death at a young age.

The season will conclude with four more episodes, starting in spring and wrapping up in May 2026, just in time for Easter.

Earlier this year, Jason Claman from Fox News Media mentioned the strong demand for additional episodes of Scorsese’s series, expressing excitement about continuing their collaboration.

For Scorsese, “Saints” has been a long-held passion project. He has previously touched on themes of faith in films like “The Last Temptation of Christ” but considers this series his most extensive exploration of Christianity.

Scorsese expressed his enthusiasm, stating how fulfilling it is to finally tell the stories of the saints and how encouraging it is to see the positive audience response. “I’m thrilled to be back for a second season,” he remarked.

The first season of “Martin Scorsese Presents: Saints” is currently available for streaming.
