A 17-year-old cat known to be a “cat lover” is seeking adoption in New York.
Phoebe is a brown, black and orange feline at the Hamptons Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) looking for a family of her own.
According to ARF, the cheeky senior is a Yemeni Shorthair who knows exactly what he wants in life: good food and lots of cuddles.

ARF is located in East Hampton, New York, and Phoebe is looking for “someone to love.”

The 7.6-pound cat tends to be sluggish these days, but he still loves cuddles and affection, says ARF.

Rescuers say she is elderly but ready to spend “the golden years in a home worthy of her ‘politeness'”.
ARF has been helping homeless and abandoned animals since it was founded over 49 years ago.

The rescue group has helped tens of thousands of dogs and cats find companions, shelter and adequate medical care, according to its website.

About two and a half hours east of Manhattan, ARF recently built a “forever home” with a welcome center, kennel and training center.
The organization will be able to house more animals at the new center and provide them with appropriate training.
