New York City Mayor Eric Adams indicted on five federal charges

New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted on five federal charges related to illegal contributions to the 2021 presidential election, according to an indictment unsealed Thursday.

Page 57 Indictment The lawsuit alleges that over nearly a decade, Adams “solicited and accepted improper benefits, including luxury international trips, from wealthy foreign businessmen and at least one senior Turkish government official who sought to exert their influence over him.”

Adams Charged He was charged with one count of “conspiracy to commit wire fraud, bribery of federal programs, and receiving campaign contributions from foreign nationals,” as well as one count of wire fraud, two counts of soliciting contributions from foreign nationals, and one count of bribery.
