A district attorney in upstate New York was caught on police body camera footage blatantly ignoring a traffic stop, returning to his home and abusing officers.
Police body camera footage shows the moment officers engaged Monroe County District Attorney Sandra Dawley after she ignored a traffic stop. Officer Cameron Crisafulli allegedly clocked Doorley traveling 55 mph in a 35 mph zone on Monday around 5:30 p.m.
Officer Crisafulli allegedly activated his patrol car’s emergency lights to pull Dory over. She reportedly resisted her attempted traffic stop and continued to drive her car to her home.
Dawley allegedly called Webster Police Chief Dennis Kohlmeyer after failing to comply with a traffic stop.
Prosecutors say he told the police chief, “Can you just tell him to leave me alone?”

She completely ignored the officers’ orders on several occasions.
The officer explained that she was conducting a traffic stop, and the woman allegedly responded, “I know the law better than you.”
The officer replied, “What are you so against me for? I’m doing my job. You say you’re a prosecutor?”
Doorsley is said to have replied: of I…I am of I’m the Monroe County Attorney. ” She then allegedly called him a “slut.”
She repeats, “I of Monroe County Prosecutor. ”
“If you get a traffic ticket, that’s fine. I’m the one filing the charges,” she declares.
Doorsley said defiantly: “Do you really think I care that you were going 20 miles over the speed limit?”
Doorsley is said to have advised the officer that he “should have done a test” to find out how important she was.
When the officer asks for her driver’s license, she becomes combative.
She got irritated and said, “Please write me a letter saying I got a traffic ticket.”
Crisafulli allegedly requested a supervisor to be at the scene.
Body camera footage shows two officers confronting the district attorney inside the garage of Crisafulli’s home while he waited outside.
“I didn’t want to pull over. I just wanted to park in the driveway and that’s the end of the story,” Dooley said in the body camera video.
Mr Dooley said he “didn’t feel like” stopping in the road, but the officer retorted: “That’s not your choice.”
The officer pointed out that the prosecutor “caused this.”
The supervisor notified the district attorney that she had committed an arrestable crime.
“I should have known better,” he said, adding, “I made a bigger deal than I needed to.”
She claims she felt it “would be easier” if she stopped in her driveway.

Crisafulli told supervisors he was “not trying to arrest the county attorney general” but wanted to “do his job” and charge her with speeding.
Dooley said in an article: statement He was released on Thursday: “I believe that I accept responsibility for my actions, and I did not intend to use my position to gain advantage, so by 1 p.m. (Tuesday) I pleaded guilty, I sent the ticket to Webster City Court. No one, including the District Attorney, is above the law or even the traffic law.”
The Rochester City Council is calling for a state investigation into Mr. Dawley’s conduct.
Council members sent a letter to Attorney General Letitia James saying: “Recent body camera footage shared by the Webster Police Department reveals Mr. Dawley’s actions during a traffic stop in Webster, New York. “This incident has led us to question her.” As the District Attorney, I believe your office’s investigation is warranted. ”
Lawmakers declared that public servants should be held to the “highest ethical standards, responsibility and respect for the law” and that Mr. Dooley’s actions “appear to violate these standards.”
“Such actions undermine the credibility and integrity of our justice system and undermine the public’s trust,” the council members added.
