It's the snow that makes you speed during winter storms.
Horrifying dashcam footage shows the moment a driver in upstate New York nearly collided head-on with a snow plow while trying to pass another truck.
The snowplow was traveling down a single-lane road in the North Country area when the headlights of a semi-truck appeared in the opposite direction, followed by a black sedan traveling alongside it.
The car, which was placed directly in the path of the snowplow, desperately tried to speed up and pass the semi-truck, but the slush and snow on the narrow roadway made it impossible to get enough pickup.
At that time, the sedan swerved and struck the plow directly with its side and trunk.
Small pieces of the headlight and black paint on the trunk can be seen flying through the air.
Fortunately, no one was injured in the horrific accident.
“Note to self: Do not pass when the road is covered with snow or slush.” New York State Department of Transportation He said it in X.
A spokesperson for the agency could not confirm where the accident occurred, but said the video “highlights the need to drive carefully in snow and ice conditions.”
