Newark cop killer’s mom busted on gang, drug-peddling charges

Officers accused her of killing Newark officers a few days after their 14-year-old mother and aunt bragging to the Post about their lucrative drug deal.

Rabya Sawley, the 43-year-old teenage mother, who was accused of deadly shooting death on March 7th, was killed by Joseph Azkona. Explained by New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin As the mastermind behind Double II and as the person in charge of a blood-affiliated street gang.

According to court documents obtained by the Post Office, Solei was arrested on March 24 by state authorities and twin sisters, Hadiya Solei, and 24 other members or associates.

Rabya is being held on felony assault, conspiracy, assault, drug and weapons charges.

Double II is said to operate an outdoor drug market along the 200 block of North 9th Avenue, not too far from Branch Brook Park.

A few days before her arrest, the Post spoke to Hadiya Solei of North Ninth Avenue about her nephew and allegations against him. She was proud to sell $4,000 a day drugs.

“I put the whole North behind me,” Hadiya Sauri said, referring to the North District of Newark. “I do what I want to do.”

Investigators allegedly nine served as Double II “creepers” and distributed heroin, cocaine and fentanyl sold by the gang, investigators said.

Others served as supervisors or enforcers.

Using eavesdropping and surveillance cameras, detectives were able to link Rabya to at least four shootings between April and December 2023.

Authorities say the gang maintained and operated a drug production facility at Elizabeth’s Sawley home.

The house was attacked and police recovered about $17,000 in cash, as well as empty glassine waxfolds, tape, rubber bands and digital scales, prosecutors said.

“Illegal drug trafficking continues to affect life in New Jersey, and gangs like those mentioned in today’s criminal charges are looking to benefit from the sale of these potentially deadly drugs,” Platkin said in a statement.

“This particular drug company is accused of being routinely involved in violence in order to intimidate others, maintain gang discipline and control the territory. We will continue to work with our law enforcement partners to protect cities and towns from these criminal organizations.”

I couldn’t reach the pain because of the comments.
