White House Responds to Terry Moran’s Social Media Post

The White House reacted strongly on Sunday after ABC News correspondent Terry Moran made a controversial social media post, which Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller and President Donald Trump described as “world-class” hatred.

Moran’s now-deleted post criticized Miller, stating, “Miller is a man blessed with the ability to hate. He is a world-class hater. You can see this by looking at him, as you can see his hatred as his spiritual nourishment. He eats his hatred.” He went on to describe Trump as having “world-class dislike,” interpreting it as a means to an end that ultimately leads to his own downfall.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed the situation in a post on X, calling Moran’s comments “indifferent and unacceptable.” Leavitt later appeared on Fox News’ Sunday Morning Futures, emphasizing that journalists should strive to be “fair and professional.” She noted the significant distrust the public has in legacy media, implying that these types of comments only exacerbate that issue.

Miller also weighed in, commenting that Moran’s remarks reflect a deeper problem in corporate media coverage, pointing out the “radical” shift some journalists have taken in their public personas. He suggested that Moran has stripped away his façade, revealing a true bias.

Vice President JD Vance chimed in, characterizing Moran’s post as one that “drips with hatred.” He insisted that people should remember the tone and coverage from ABC regarding the Trump administration.

ABC News did not respond immediately to requests for feedback on the matter.

Interestingly, this isn’t the first run-in between Trump and Moran. During a previous interview 100 days into his presidency, Trump criticized Moran’s questioning style, describing him as “not very good” for his inquiries about the deportation of an illegal immigrant.

Trump did not hold back, expressing his distrust during that interview, particularly regarding questions about his relationship with Russia’s Vladimir Putin.

He also took the opportunity to criticize former President Joe Biden, calling his leadership “terribly incompetent” and suggesting that media outlets like ABC perpetuate “fake news.”
