On Wednesday’s episode of FNC’s “Jesse Watters Primetime,” former House Speaker Newt Gingrich talked about the fraught relationship between President Donald Trump and the mainstream media.
Gingrich mentioned his recent receipt of the Pulitzer Prize, noting it was awarded for what he termed “completely lying about Trump.”
Host Jesse Watters remarked, “He’s just talking about planes. So, is this about an airplane? What’s really happening?”
In response, Gingrich referenced Teddy Kennedy’s evasive responses, saying, “The New York Times, the Washington Post, and major networks seem to fixate daily on the sleaziest, most trivial aspects of Donald Trump. Meanwhile, significant changes are happening in Syria, with former allies like Russia seeing shifts toward us, and Qatar and Saudi Arabia showing new dynamics.”
“If you assert that Trump is straightforward in dealing with Syria and Saudi Arabia, it’s essential to acknowledge Israel, as we should focus on commerce rather than conflict,” he added. “His speech yesterday was groundbreaking, laying out a framework for practical and historic relationships that could transform the entire region.”
