Newsom's office overlooks Biden in 'functioning brain' Obama memories post

Newsom’s Office Criticized for Omission of Biden

On Thursday, California Governor Gavin Newsom’s press office faced backlash for a post on X, which notably excluded former President Joe Biden while expressing nostalgia for a “president with a functioning brain.” The post featured an image of former President Barack Obama.

This omission quickly garnered attention, especially given ongoing discussions regarding Biden’s mental health during his presidency. Podcaster Stephen L. Miller humorously noted, “They skipped someone.”

A Republican Party account mocked Newsom’s prior reference to his dyslexia, reminding him of a past post wishing Biden a happy birthday, stating, “I know you can’t ‘read,’ but remember when you posted this?” Conservative commentator Jeff Breher also chimed in, sharing a meme of a goose questioning, “Who did you leave out, Gavin?”

In response to the criticism, Newsom’s team later acknowledged Biden’s contributions, highlighting his “empathy” by tweeting, “RT if you miss having a president who empathizes with you.” Meanwhile, Fox News Digital attempted to contact Biden’s office for comment but didn’t receive an immediate response.
